• The word Reiki is made of two Japanese words - Rei which means "God's Wisdom or the Higher Power" and Ki which is " life force energy ". So Reiki is actually "spiritually guided life force energy ."
• Reiki treats the whole person including body, emotions, mind and spirit creating many beneficial effects that include relaxation, removal of energy  blockages, detoxifies the system, provides new vitality in the form of healing universal life energy, and increases the vibrational frequency of the body.
• Reiki is a simple, natural and safe method of spiritual healing and self-improvement that everyone can use. It has been effective in helping virtually every known illness and malady and always creates a beneficial effect. It also works in conjunction with all other medical or therapeutic techniques to relieve side effects and promote recovery. Many have reported miraculous results.  Examples of illnesses Reiki can help with are: sports injuries, cuts, burns, internal diseases, emotional disorders, and stress-related illnesses.
• Reiki practitioners channel energy in a particular pattern to heal and harmonize. Unlike other healing therapies based on the premise of a human energy field, Reiki seeks to restore order to the body whose vital energy has become unbalanced. In order for the Reiki healing energies to have lasting results, the client must accept responsibility for her or his healing and take an active part in it. Therefore, the Usui system of Reiki is more than the use of the Reiki energy. It must also include an active commitment to improve oneself in order for it to be a complete system.

• Integrated Energy Therapy ® (IET ®) also referred to as "Healing with the Energy of Angels" is a hands on approach which uses the violet angelic energy ray of the nine Healing Angels of the Energy Field to remove energy blockages on a cellular level.  
• IET works directly with the 12-Strand Spiritual DNA to get the “issues out of your tissues” for good. 
• IET supports you in safely and gently releasing limiting energy patterns of your past, empowering and balancing your life in the present, and helps in reaching your full potential in the future.
• When used in conjunction with Reiki, IET is an incredibly powerful tool in releasing energy blocks and healing the individual on all four levels--physical, emotional, mental and spiritual.

• Healing sessions last about one hour, however the first session may go as long as 90 minutes. 
• You will be asked to lay down on a massage table, you will be fully clothed except for your shoes.  It is best to choose loose-fitting garments to wear on the day of your appointment. Wearing natural fabrics is best (cotton, wool, or linen). It is best if you remove any jewelry (rings, bracelets, pendants, etc.) prior to the session.
• During the healing session I will  place my hands lightly on different parts of your body.
• Due to the nature of energy healing, it is quite difficult to say exactly what will be experienced during a session. This will depend on any number of things including, but not limited to, each individual client, the level to which that client is able to open up to the energies, and what areas the energy itself is addressing. Often people describe their experience by saying they felt as if they are floating during the session.
• Often, if there is a physical problem, the client will feel that area of the body becoming quite hot as the energy targets that area.
• The most immediate broad spectrum results are a drastic reduction in stress, and an extreme sense of relaxation, similar to what people usually feel after a massage but it seems to be more profound and longer lasting, and an overall feeling of being more balanced, calm, and centered.
• These results are almost always attained through just one session. The more profound results that energy healing can yield (i.e., the "healing" of a specific dis-ease, release of habitual thought patterns or old emotional scars, etc.) are rarely attained through a single session, but instead must be addressed in the same way that many of them were manifested over time.

• Reiki/IET's gentle and non-invasive nature is perfect for treating young children.  Children are extremely receptive to Reiki/IET's positive effects and will normally welcome it without any apprehension.  Reiki/IET energy travels swiftly through a child's body since unlike adults,  they don't yet have years of accumulated toxins or blockages that tend to slow down the treatment process. 
• Reiki/IET treatments are given to children much in the same way as they are given to adults. However, the treatment will not last as long.

• These days many people use holistic medicine to heal their pets and Reiki/IET® is one of the most effective methods in treating illnesses in animals.  Many animals absorb Reiki/IET® enrergy more quickly than humans most likely because they inherently understand what Reiki/IET® is.  A full treatment seldom lasts more than 20 minutes. 
• Most cats and dogs especially  accept energy and allow the healer to place his/her hand on them freely.  Reiki/IET® can also be sent to animals through distant  healing if they are skittish or confused by a healer's touch.
